Gold has a quality of never-dying, nor is it ever new.
It is passed along from one hand to another, from person to person, and from century to century, each time revealing a story and history.
It will tell us about the landscape, the earth it was taken from, and how it was conceived.
Gold will forever be weary, overworked by life, and will continue to exist.

It will always shine, even with the dimmest of lights, and in the darkest of hours.

This album comprises original compositions, as well as some arrangements of well-known Israeli songs composed to the words of the poet Leah Goldberg.
Throughout the songs, both original and arranged, there is a constant dialogue with the poet Leah Goldberg, with her poems and themes - nature, the past, childhood, loneliness, and love.
Goldberg and Friedman intermittently deal with the question - what and where is home.

This album was composed and recorded in February 2021 - during the Corona Pandemic, the coldest winter in Berlin, the strictest lockdown times, and the disappearance of home.
